Save time and money by buying prepay credit

Buying small items like cards through a website doesn't always make a great deal of sense. The time taken to enter your credit card details, ferret out your Verified by Visa password and to fill in your address details may seem disproportionate. But postcards and greeting cards are useful and keeping a small stock in a drawer somewhere for that almost-forgotten birthday can be a life-saver.

Save up to £15 and buy more than you spend

If you want to be able to replenish your stock easily the solution just might be to treat yourself to some prepaid credit which can be used at any time on the Oxford (or Suffolk) Cards websites to buy cards or postcards. The idea is one I've borrowed from my favourite classical music site, hyperion-records.co.uk. There the problem is how to deal with musical downloads (which may sometimes consist of a few tracks costing only a couple of pounds.) Hyperion's solution seems to work for them so I thought it was worth a try here for cards and postcards. Try it out now by buying £8 worth of credit for only £7.50, which means you can have free postage with your order and a free postcard too.

All you need to do is to click on one of the buttons above to buy anything from £8 to £45 of prepay credit and save up to £15 as you do so.

Please note that, because of postage costs, prepaid credit is for UK customers only and works only for cards or postcards. Prints must be bought in the normal way on the main website.

This idea is intended for ordinary use. But please note that, for those customers — and there are one or two — who want to buy a large number of cards to use as wedding invitations or thank-you notes, this is also a good way of gettng a discount on bulk purchases.

How it works

What happens is that as soon as you have purchased a prepay credit you will receive an automatic email acknowledgment which will include a link to the prepaid section of the website (which features all cards but excludes prints). In this version of the website you simply fill up your shopping basket in the normal way — and then pass through the check-out without paying anything at all. All you need to do is give your name, your post code and your email addresss; it won't ask you for any money. So long as you don't spend more credit than you have purchased the goods will arrive by post in the normal way. Each time you order using your prepaid credit you'll receive an invoice which will show the balance you have left and this invoice will be sent by email as well as by post.

Minimum order level

In order to keep postage costs just about manageable I've set a minimum order level of £7.50 on the prepaid section of the website so you'll need to reach this level.

Happy card shopping!
